About the event
So you're interested in Making Costa Rica Home. Twelve and a half years ago, I made the same decision. We've done some things right and some things wrong, but we're still here living and loving life. We have 4 kids, 3 born in Costa Rica with one public hospital birth and two home births. Both my husband and I have been business owners and employees here. We've been land owners and renters. We've home school, sent our children to public and private school. We've purchased vehicles and sold vehicles. We've worked with many lawyers, and have even gone to court in CR. We've lived in both beach and city environments, and we've navigated all those important systems such as INS, CAJA, SUGEF, MOPT, RITEVE, DEKRA and Hacienda. I even did my residency myself (although it took me 6 years because I was pretty lazy about follow up.) Maybe we haven't done it all, but we're getting pretty close. We're very pleased that we're in a great position to help people. It's important that you come to Costa Rica with an open mind and a willingness to evolve. However, the more preparation you have, the more equipped you'll be to face challenges. In this virtual event, I'll share our story, what living here is like short term vs. longterm, the differences between beach life and the central valley, education, cost of living, and so much more. This is a one hour event for $25 or $40/couple.
